About Us

Trinty River is three great friends and one fantastic piano player who have enjoyed a decade of lifting up Jesus through a variety of musical styles. Founded in 1996, they quickly moved from performing in their local church choir, to traveling all the way to Nashville, TN to produce and record two albums. All are accomplished singers, songwriters, recording artists, and worshippers, but mainly they are real people sharing a real passion about a relationship with God that is making a real differnce in everyday lives.

Debbie Reed

Soprano

Debbie Reed is a singer/songwriter, worship leader, author, speaker, wife, and mother to five beautiful children! Her degree in choral music education coupled with almost 20 years of experience as a Mom and Pastor's wife have enabled her to share encouraging insights with countless women through conferences, retreats, and concerts. She is most passionate about using her vocal ability to draw worshippers young and old to experience the overwhelming presence of the Spirit of God.

Meri McAlexander

Meri is also a singer/songwriter as well as a public educator, speaker, and single mother of three wonderful children. Her love for music began as a young child being surrounded by music at both home and church. Her experience as a single mother struggling to raise her children while finishing her education has made her a wonderful testimony to God's ability to provide not only for our basic needs but to fulfill our passions as well.

Gayla Payte

Gayla is also a gifted singer/songwriter with a great desire to use her gifts for the glory of Jesus Christ her Lord. Having never been given the opportunity as a child to use her voice in the church, she found herself searching for a place to express her passion for music. For several years she worked to express that passion in the secular venues that welcomed her talent gladly. She was never quite fulfilled until it was revealed to her that her real passion was not merely for the music, but for the One who had given it to her. Now her greatest joy in life is to sing of the amazing grace of the One who has given her that as well!

Johnny Payte

Keyboard

Johnny is a self described "living testament to the grace of God". A second-generation gospel musician and songwriter, it is evident that Johnny's talent on the keyboard and piano are a gift from God. He and his wife Gayla are honored to have the joy of making music together for the glory of God.
